United Way of Orange County continued its centennial celebration with the GOLF UNITED tournament on Monday, April 20, at Sunset Grove Country Club. The event brought together golfers, partners, and supporters for a sold-out day of play while raising funds to support programs serving Orange County residents.

The tournament, part of United Way of Orange County’s 100-year anniversary year, featured a four-person scramble format with both morning and afternoon flights. Proceeds will directly support efforts to connect individuals and families to education, financial tools, and resources that strengthen long-term stability and opportunity.

“It was a fantastic day on the course,” said President and CEO Maureen McAllister, noting strong participation despite a chilly start and ideal conditions as the day progressed. Players enjoyed tournament favorites such as mulligans, “tee it forward,” contests including longest drive and closest to the pin, and the crowd-favorite air cannon.

The event also featured sponsor and cook teams stationed throughout the course offering food, refreshments, and giveaways, along with commemorative 100-year swag bags for participants. McAllister thanked volunteers and sponsors, including Golden Triangle Emergency Center, for their support in making the event a success.

Heather Montagne’s State Farm team took first place with a score of 54.
