On March 12, Dow and United Way of Orange County partnered to host a special volunteer event, Feed the Funnel, at the Dow Business Center. The event brought together 111 volunteers who worked together to prepare 40,638 meals for the community in under two hours. These meals were distributed to four local food pantries—Bridge City/Orangefield Ministerial Alliance, Orange Christian Services, The Salvation Army Orange, and United Christian Care Center of Vidor—to help combat food insecurity in Orange County. The project highlighted the critical need for food in the community, as identified in United Way’s Community Needs Assessment, and showcased the power of collaboration between corporate sponsors, volunteers, and local organizations. Thanks to Dow’s sponsorship and the dedication of volunteers, Feed the Funnel successfully delivered tens of thousands of meals to families and individuals in need, demonstrating a meaningful and immediate impact on the community.
