Day of caring is a great opportunity to jion others to make a difference right here in our ocmmunity. United Way of Orange COunty startede this initiative in order to bring individuals together to complete special projects which will allow nonprofits to better serve their clients. Our Day of Caring is a great way to give back wtih friends, family or co-workers!
It's set for Friday, September 18, 2026. We will meet at the Dow Business Center (2601 Irving Street Orange, TX 77630) at 7:45 a.m. for a light breakfast and photos (a large group photo of ALL participants AND photos of each participating team.) Once the general assembly completes (around 8:30 a.m.) teams will disburse to their assigned project worksites. Projects should wrap up by lunchtime. Teams will be assigned a Day of Caring project based on team size and project scope of work. There is a potential that your team may be divided into smaller groups,
if necessary.

GRANT APPLICATIONS: Exclusive to 501C3 nonprofits; maximum amount is $500, and the deadline is June 30, 2026.
NONPROFIT PROJECTS: The deadline to submit is July 31, 2026.
VOLUNTEER TEAMS: The deadline to register is July 31, 2026.

Sponsorships help fund grants for local nonprofits to complete meaningful Day of Caring projects. After event costs are covered all remaining dollars are awarded back to nonprofits through project grants.
