Project Sweet Dreams

There are currently over 50 kids in Orange County who are in need of a bed. These children are sleeping on a couch, chair, with a sibling or parent, and sometimes even the floor. A bed is a basic need for proper physical, emotional, and mental support of a child. But thanks to a special grant from Gulf Coast Sequestration, United Way of Orange County is changing that! 

We will finish up with deliveries on Saturday, October 21, 2023 beginning at 8:00 a.m. and wrapping up around noon. Again, we are looking for volunteers with trucks for Saturday as we should be done with the build on Friday.

We will meet at 2950 Milam Street in Beaumont. Parking at the build site is limited, so carpool if possible. 

Volunteers MUST signup online with a valid email address as that is how we will communicate additional information about this project. Volunteers are asked to wear a LIVE UNITED shirt. If you don’t have one, contact Kristin at 409-883-3591 or drs@uwoctx.org to coordinate pickup. Shirts are FREE for volunteers. The minimum age for this volunteer project is 12; minors are to have an adult guardian with them.
